Team Managers & Team Coaches
At a junior/miniroo level, each team will need to appoint a "Team Manager" and a "Team Coach", as well as a "Game Leader". As a volunteer-run, not-for-profit club, we rely on the participation of parents to fill these roles voluntarily to make the junior/miniroo football teams financially viable.
The Club is unable to offer paid coaches for any of its junior/miniroo teams. If a team is unable to find a parent volunteer coach, the team can collectively agree to find a paid coach which will incur an extra fee per player to cover this cost.
Game Leaders
In Miniroos (U6-U11), the Team Managers are required to appoint a parent to act as "Game Leader" rather than a referee. It is common practice for each team to appoint a "Game Leader" for half of the game. Alternatively, if both teams agree, one "Game Leader" can be appointed for the whole game.
Game-Leaders should familiarise themselves with the Miniroos National Playing Formats & Rules.
Team Regrading (U6-U11)
The NSFA will be regrading individual teams within each Age Group during the season to ensure that teams should be reasonably matched. This regrading process is conducted every 4-5 weeks based on the actual game results.
Uniforms
Players are required to purchase their own boots, shin pads and jerseys. Jerseys can be purchased directly from the Club, via the registration process. Shorts & socks will be provided at as part of the player registration fee. Refer to the "Registration" page for further information.
Trophies
Each miniroo player will receive an individually engraved trophy at the conclusion of the season.
Wet Weather
Decisions on weekend ground closures (due to rain/wet weather) are generally not made until Friday afternoon. A Wet Weather message will be communicated on the NSFA website by 5:00pm Friday. Please refer to the NSFA's Wet Weather page.
Grounds may also be closed on Saturday's by clubs or referees if they deem the ground to be unfit to play. Every effort will be made to communicate these to Club's via the NSFA website. However, this may not always be possible.
Please do not assume that just because it has rained that a game is cancelled. Please always check the NSFA's Fixtures & Results page to see if a game has been relocated to another ground or cancelled.
